Jul 10, 2015 at 2:56 | comment | added | user13955 | Ahm......what can I say about it? If, for example, especially in the text messagings, you were thinking about 中国また朝鮮また徳川の儒教的政治 using the term Confucianism then I read it and may be exchanging with each other, that could mean we could be in chaos. ( Meaning both are thinking different things at that same time. ) I personally would like to recommend for you to ask there about this. Probably quite few would agree the word Confucianism can cover the meaning of your last speech.

Jul 9, 2015 at 23:11 | comment | added | virmaior | The word Confucianism in English can mean any of the things I said above depending on the speaker and context... I don't know why you translated my words that express the differences in Japanese back to English. My point is the answer you're translating proves to be wrong about the English word Confucianism even it is right about the Japanese use of 儒教.
Jul 9, 2015 at 19:29 | comment | added | user13955 | so kindly ask there, and 中国また朝鮮また徳川の儒教的政治, ahm this is quite difficult since Japanese would to much extent probably not use 徳川の, instead I would like to use if I were you, 徳川氏による. Granted, I would probably translate your last speech as "Political system with Confucianism under the Tokugawa Shogunate and also in China and Korea". I am sorry to say, not so many people would not comprehend your last speech. The reason is, the Confucianism, historically speaking, would've been different in each country in my opinion. I think regarding this, I would like you to ask there, since it seems
Jul 9, 2015 at 19:20 | comment | added | user13955 | @virmaior ahm, first off, this is my personal opinion as a non native speaker. Then granted, if your statement is really correct and the meaning of Confucianism covers so wide, then I would like to say it is too bold. If I were you, I would say respectively, 儒家 as Confucianists, 儒教 as Confucianism, then I am not sure by your saying 「だけ」, if I take your words literally, then I would translate 論語と孟子だけ probably as (Confucius') Analytic and Mencius only ( = だけ ), 論語と孟子 as (Confucius') Analytic and Mencius, and I am sorry I have no idea about the meaning of the word パラス
Jul 9, 2015 at 16:16 | comment | added | virmaior | The English word "Confucianism" can refer to 儒家 , 儒教, 論語と孟子だけ, 論語と孟子 . 論語などパラス朱熹 , 中国また朝鮮また徳川の儒教的政治. It's not at all clear which until the OP clarifies.
Jul 9, 2015 at 16:15 | comment | added | user13955 | Let us discuss later kindly. Thank you. When I am translating, the Heaven told me to go to sleep. No offense. But thank you for your comment.
Jul 9, 2015 at 15:53 | comment | added | virmaior | One big problem is that it's not clear that the English word Confucianism is equivalent to 儒教
