That seems to be reading modern knowledge into history. Rather, I'd say "the evidence supporting them was misleading in some way or another." In addition, you will find that working scientists (in my experience) are convinced that their models are totally accurate. They invest their lives to their models and will only reject them with overwhelming evidence. And often not even then. | |
