I work at a bookstore and I picked up The History of Sexuality. I read a few chapters of it and skipped around a bit to find Ars Erotica and Scientia Sexualis. I understood a bit of what each was (Ars Erotica as a method of learning through experience and emotion, as opposed to the calculating factual nature of Scientia Sexualis), but I couldn't read much more and found myself very interested in the two.

What are the differences between these two methods?
