ulian Newman is a graduate of the Universities of Oxford and London. He was Professor of Computing at GCU from 2004 to 2011. His major research interests include the Philosophy of Computing, Networked and Virtual Organizations and Methodology. He is also collaborating with colleagues at the University of Kharkiv https://kharkov-ua.academia.edu/ on the simulation of Hemiclonal Population Systems. Since 2011 he has continued research activities at GCU and has been a postgrad research student, researching in the Epistemology of Computing and e-Science, in the Department of Philosophy at Birkbeck College, University of London. He has previously worked in Computing at International Computers Ltd, Heriot-Watt University and City of London Polytechnic, and in Psychology at Glasgow College and Ulster Polytechnic.
