I am an architect of the sort that designs buildings. I entered the industry via a vocational class in architectural drafting. One of the reasons I chose the course was because it provided access to AutoCad and AutoCad provided access to AutoLisp, and I was interested in Lisp - it was the late 1980's on the verge of the AI winter.

Later, after a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy [with a minor in Education], I returned to school and earned the professional degree Master of Architecture.

I have some familiarity with C#, Common Lisp, Racket, and VectorScript [a super-set of Pascal which allows for scripting the Computer Aided Design software Vectorworks].
