In reality the rate is actually zero for the first decade (ish), probably peaks somewhere in the teens/20s, and then declines over the remainder of the lifespan. Add to that the fact that it's an average (so we're including less sexually active people in the numbers), and it doesn't sound so unreasonable. | |
