Throghout The Gay Science, for instance, he easily labels attitudes and whole philosophies as 'Southern'. In this case, the stereotype is that blonds are more fearful and less depressive, so they carefully maintain relative advantages when they have them, and make particularly harsh invaders or overlords. So he is not talking necessarily about actual blondes, or Germans as a nation, but about the kind of people who hold onto control reflexively out of fear. | |
