With a background in Physics and Biology, I am not only interested in developing new neuromorphic circuits and building new vision sensors but also in investigating their applications. One of the biggest advantages of neuromorphic hardware is the sparse nature of its output. Instead of having scanners that iterate over all channels/pixels to sample their values, they decide themselves when to produce output information. To take advantage of this information driven processing, new algorithms that can handle its asynchronous nature are required.
Therefore I aim to extend the capabilities of the existing neuromorphic sensors, develop event driven algorithms and find powerful applications especially in the field of robotics.
